Admin & Settings
Configure API keys, choose AI models, set up company holidays, and manage your SuperTemplates installation. These settings help you get the most out of SuperTemplates for your team.
The admin dashboard gives you a bird's-eye view of your SuperTemplates installation — API key status, default model, usage stats, top contributors, and cache management all in one place.
Open the admin panel
Go to your Jira project settings → Apps → SuperTemplates → Admin. You need Jira admin or project admin permissions to access this panel.
Check API key and model status
The top of the dashboard shows which AI providers are configured (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Vertex AI, Cerebras) and your current default model at a glance.
Review usage stats and top contributors
See monthly metrics — tasks created, time saved, and active users. The Top Contributors section shows who's creating the most tasks, so you can identify champions and track adoption.
Manage cache
The Cache Management section lets you force-refresh cached project data when Jira changes aren't appearing. Select a project and hit 'Refresh Cache' — limited to 3 refreshes per hour per project.
Pro tip: The dashboard links directly to API Keys, Models, and other settings pages — use it as your starting point for any admin task.
SuperTemplates includes AI models out of the box. For full control over costs, rate limits, and data residency, bring your own (BYOK) API keys from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google.
Add your provider key
Have your own API key? Paste it here to unlock that provider with your own plan. This removes all app-side rate limits and applies your own data policies.
Verify and activate
Click 'Verify' to send a small test request. Once confirmed, toggle the provider on. Keys are encrypted at rest and securely stored within your isolated app environment.
Enforce company-managed keys
For tighter security, disable the app-included models so your team can only use company-managed API keys. This ensures all AI requests go through your own accounts with your own audit trail.
Choose which AI model powers your task extraction. Different models offer different tradeoffs between speed, accuracy, and cost. You can also configure Vertex AI regions for data residency.
Browse available models
The Models page lists every model available for your configured providers. Each model shows its capabilities, speed rating, and cost tier.
Set the default model
Choose which model to use by default for your team. Individual users can override this in their personal preferences if you allow it.
Configure Vertex AI regions
If you use Google Vertex AI, select the region closest to your team for lower latency and data residency compliance. SuperTemplates supports all Vertex AI regions.
Pro tip: Start with a faster model for day-to-day use, and switch to a more capable model for complex extraction tasks.
Configure company holidays so Sequential Dates automatically skips non-working days. Add public holidays for your country and custom company-specific days off.
Set your holiday region
Select your country and optionally a state/province. SuperTemplates auto-populates the year's holidays — both official and observance days like Valentine's Day or St. Patrick's Day are tagged so you can include or exclude them.
Review and toggle holidays
Check or uncheck individual holidays to include or exclude them from date calculations. Observance holidays are labeled separately so you can keep the ones your team actually takes off.
Add custom company holidays
Add your own company-specific days off — team offsites, company anniversaries, shutdown periods. These are combined with public holidays when calculating sequential dates.
Pro tip: Holidays are used by the Sequential Dates feature to skip weekends and holidays when assigning due dates across tasks.
